1. Agreeing to these terms

By reading, using or otherwise making your way around [DOMAIN], you are agreeing to the terms set out on this page. They are not complicated and they are not designed to catch anybody out, but if there is something here you are not willing to accept, the honest answer is that you should stop using the site.

2. Who runs this site

[SITE NAME] is a personal website written and published by one person. It is not a registered company, it does not employ anybody, and everything on it is written by hand rather than assembled from somewhere else.

3. What you may do with the content

This part matters more than the rest, because the whole point of the site is that you take things from it and use them.

• Copy any example sentence, headline, button wording, template or checklist from a guide and use it on your own website
• Do exactly the same on a website you are building for somebody else, including work you are paid for
• Change any of that wording as much as you like, and you do not need to credit me or link back
• Print a guide or save it for your own reference
• Quote a short passage from a guide elsewhere, as long as you say where it came from and link to the original

There is no licence to apply for and no permission to request. If a guide hands you a sentence, that sentence is yours.

4. What you may not do

The articles themselves, meaning the explanations, the structure and the writing around those examples, remain my copyright. So please do not do any of the following.

• Republish a guide, in whole or in substantial part, on another website, in a newsletter, or in a book
• Rewrite a guide lightly and publish it as your own work
• Feed the site into automated systems that scrape or copy it at scale
• Sell access to anything published here, since it is free and should stay free
• Use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with other readers, or breaks any law

5. Comments

Comments are open because good discussion makes the guides better. By leaving one you confirm the words are your own and that you are happy for them to appear publicly on the site.

I moderate every comment, and I will delete anything that is spam, abusive, off topic, or posted purely to place a link. That decision is mine and I do not owe anybody an explanation for it.

6. Links to other websites

Guides here sometimes link out to tools, articles and other websites. Those places are run by other people and I have no control over what they publish or how they behave. A link is not an endorsement, and once you click it you are subject to that site's own rules rather than these.

7. Advertising

This site carries adverts through Google AdSense, and those adverts are what pay for it. The adverts are chosen automatically by Google rather than selected by me, so their appearance here does not mean I recommend or have even seen whatever they are advertising. If an advert on this site leads you somewhere unpleasant, I would genuinely like to know about it.

8. The site is offered as it is

Everything here is published in good faith and checked as carefully as one person reasonably can, but it comes with no guarantee that it is complete, current, or suited to your particular situation. Websites change, search engines change, and advice that worked well last year can quietly stop working. I make no promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

9. Limits of responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not responsible for any loss, cost or damage that follows from using this site or acting on something you read here. That includes lost business, lost income, and time spent on changes that did not produce the result you hoped for.

You are the one who decides what to put on your own website, and that decision, along with everything that follows from it, stays with you.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the site changes, and the date at the top of the page shows when that last happened. If you carry on using the site afterwards, you are accepting the updated version.

11. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them falls to the courts of [CITY, STATE].
